About Us
| LWorld Media Inc.
first began as a one-person operation in the basement of a
home (with much coffee on hand!). What started as a project
to earn a small income soon grew into a family-run business.
The team currently resides in southwest Nova Scotia where we
plan to further expand our company. Our

Bernd Hansen - President and
founder When not getting dunked in his training sailboat,
Bernd is usually found pulling his hair out programming
code, and exploring ways to improve the usability of the
500,000+ pages in the online web directories. He got hooked
on computers early, starting with the Timex Sinclair and
Apple IIC, and is a fluent ASP/Visual Basic
programmer. And janitor.
Bernd has a comprehensive background in publishing,
advertising, journalism, sales, and web design/development. |

Jennifer Parker -
Business Development Manager A former educator and
graduate of Acadia University, Jennifer thrives when working
with community leaders and businesses. Her extensive community
leadership involvement (including founding of
Send-Kids-to-Camp at age 14) earned her National recognition
by TD Canada Trust.
Along with her work, Jennifer enjoys travelling, trying to
new things and spending time with family. |

Nathan Parker - Lead
Developer Nathan brings an array of experience to the firm
as a former developer at IBM Canada, Maritime Tel & Tel (now
Aliant) and management experience at Register.com. A
Computer Science graduate of Acadia University, he's fluent
in several programming platforms, including Java, ASP, PHP,
and Javascript. He also has a knack for unearthing software
and writing code to do just about everything but wash the
dishes,
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys working/being outside,
playing ice hockey and traveling. |

Josh Hansen - Part-time
Freelance Writer Josh never expected his love for writing
and sports would land him a role as the lead writer for
LWorld Media Inc. But after penning cutting-edge stories for
the last two and a half years with SportsDirect Inc. - named
Canada's Best Small & Medium Business in 2006 - he was ready
for another challenge.
A Journalism graduate of St. Thomas University, Josh has
also done work for the CBC, The Score Television and
Canadian Interuniversity Sport. |
